Chris Lear - Running with the Buffaloes (via adistancerunner)

(via justrunthroughit)

"In football, you might get your bell rung, but you go in with the expectation that you might get hurt, and you hope to win and come out unscathed. As a distance runner, you know you’re going to get your bell rung. Distance runners are experts at pain, discomfort, and fear. You’re not coming away feeling good. It’s a matter of how much pain you can deal with on those days. It’s not a strategy. It’s just a callusing of the mind and body to deal with discomfort. Any serious runner bounces back. That’s the nature of their game. Taking pain."

We go together like drunk white girls and the word “awesome.”

I’m pathetic.

gatsby: hey i just met you
gatsby: and this is crazy
gatsby: but i'm going to spend most of my life and wealth in an attempt to pursue you for your stunning vapidness and the warped image of yourself created in my mind as a precursor to my eventual fall
gatsby: so call me maybe

T: The color yellow, Nike commercials/motivational speeches, movies, a good run, sleep. *Note this does not include the typical family, friends, etc. simply because it says things not people. I love them all too.

V:

  1. Write political campaign speeches, hopefully to assist in the writing of a State of the Union address or major presidential rhetoric.
  2. Run a marathon.
  3. Be able to die old and happy.

Y: I amazingly love the town, or rather city, I live in. I’m five minutes from anywhere I need to be and only a short ride from Washington, DC. For how “dead” everyone seems to believe my town is there is never a shortage of places to go our opportunities to behold.

Brutal honesty hour: Hell why not, I'm bored

Wish I could say this photo described my weekend, but it doesn’t. I don’t think anything really can and I’m still trying to figure out how to myself. Random, would be an understatement. Saying a mythical god figure spiked the time warp continuim to mess with me, could possibly be an overstatment. Possibly.
